Ants
There are more than 6000 varieties of ants, part of which are pests. The most widespread kind of ant is the red pharaoh ant - the only specimen that inhabits the entire planet.
Ants prefer well-heated premises. They live in a colonial manner. They set up their formicaries around basements and lodgings. Their life passes in a perfect hierarchy: mothers (queens) – sexually mature females, workers – asexual ants, taking care for the colony's feeding and male ants.
Mother ants lay eggs, the complete development of which passes in 36-39 days, depending on the temperature and the food.
The lifespan of:
- mothers (queens) – 40 weeks ;
- workers – 9-10 weeks ;
- males – 3 weeks ;
